Information Window General Tab

- Data information

This tab gives you general information about the currently loaded file. If the file comes from GeneSpring, the File and the Path fields won't show any information. The genes used field is the real number of genes that are currently loaded from the file. The rejected field is the number of genes which are incompatible with the chosen parameters or which have no data (rejected genes name are printed in the Text Log Window). The N/A values field is set to "Yes" if some of your genes have missing values.

- Parameters used

The model field shows the chosen model for data analyzing (gaussian or standard or classmarking). If you are performing a clustering, the distance field shows the chosen distance measure for comparing two profiles. The clusters asked field is the number of cluster you choose in the parameter window. The max genes field is the maximal number of genes to be taken into account by the algorithm.

- Normalization

This field shows in detail the different steps of normalization of your data. Click here to know more about the clustering parameters.

- Buttons

The "Show PCA axes" brings up the PCA curves window. The "Copy Info" button will summarize the info window content and copy the resulting sentences into the clipboard as a text directly usable in your publications as in the following example :

"The 492 expression profiles were clustered into 6 clusters in ArrayMiner 5.1 (Optimal Design Belgium, http://www.optimaldesign.com/ArrayMiner/ArrayMiner.htm), using the Gaussian Clustering model. The distance metric used was the Pearson Coefficient. 255 profiles were identified as outliers and left unclassified."

NOTE

When running the ClassMarker option of ArrayMiner, the Information Window has only one tab, showing general information on your dataset. To view detailed information on a particular ClassMarker analysis result, use the info mode of a Result Tab.
