The Line Information Dialog

Line Information Dialog

This window displays relevant information about your current project. (The current project is the front most one). Its name and path are shown in the blue part of the window. The bottom blue frame displays detailed information about the current project.

  • Number of operations : The number of operations present in the precedence graph
  • Number of nonassigned operations : The number of operations that are not assigned to a workstation
  • Number of workstations : The number of workstations in the assembly line
  • Number of operators : The total number of operators required in the assembly line
  • Total Cycle Time : This value is the sum of all the workstation cycle times
  • Total Operation Time : This value is the sum of the durations of all operations in the assembly line
  • Total Operator Time : This value is the sum of the durations of all operations in the assembly line taking into account the schedule of the operators within each workstation.
  • Disbalance (average) : This value shows the average disbalance of the line. It is the sum over all workstations, of absolute values of differences between the ideal cycle time of a workstation and the sum of operation durations on that workstation, divided by the Total Operation Time. The ideal cycle time of a workstation is the "Total Operation Time" divided by the "Total Cycle Time" (as computed above) multiplied by the workstation cycle time.
If the line is perfectly balanced, the Disbalance is 0%. The value grows as the solution departs from a perfectly balanced one, e.g. with one workstation containing all the operations and a second workstation empty, the disbalance is 100%.
  • Disbalance (operators) : This value is the same as average Disbalance, but takes into account the schedule of the operators within each workstation.

If you have more than one opened project, you can compare your project with another one, by using the "Previous" and "Next" buttons. The information about the other project will appear in the green parts of the window.
