The following notes are only relevant if you intend to use ArrayMiner in conjonction with GeneSpring®.

GeneSpring users on Windows

In order to launch ArrayMiner from GeneSpring you must at least have the version 4.1.4 of GeneSpring.

GeneSpring users on Win95/Win98 and WinMe

The Windows 95, 98 and Me operating systems have severe limitations in data exchange capabilities, that prevent GeneSpring and ArrayMiner to exchange data in the seamless way used under Windows NT4 and higher. This means that while ArrayMiner is easily run from within GeneSpring, the clustering found by ArrayMiner cannot be automatically sent back to GeneSpring upon exit from ArrayMiner but must be explicitly saved. Please refer to the appropriate help page in the online help.

GeneSpring user on Macintosh

As of version 2.6 of ArrayMiner and version 5.0 of GeneSpring, the data exchange between the two programs is seamless, with automatic send and receive of data. To learn on how to run ArrayMiner from GeneSpring consult the corresponding how to hints in our download section.
