Using the experiment tree fish eye view

Fish Eye View

The fish eye view of ArrayMiner is another display possibility for experiment trees. The root node is displayed in the center of the figure and all the experiments are distributed along a circle. As in the standard experiment tree, the radial distance of a node to its two leaves is proportional to the distance between the two leaves.

Header controls

  • The "Angle" button rotates the whole graph to the selected angle
  • The "Radius" button expands the radius of the experiment circle to the specified value
  • The "Show experiment names" checkbox shows/hides the experiment names
  • The "Show class names" checkbox shows/hides the class names
  • The two "Width" sliders edit the width available to draw the class or experiment name

Footer controls

  • The "Set as root" button changes the root node to the selected one shown by the red frame. Only non-leaf nodes can be used as root. Double clicking on a node has the same effect as selecting a node and clicking on the "Set as root" button
  • The "Show All" button restores the root node to the original root. This button is only enabled when a new root has been chosen
  • The "Publish" button saves the graph as a bitmap
