What is ArrayMiner ?

ArrayMiner is a data-mining tool that enables users to identify co-expressed genes within a set of gene expression data, typically obtained using the micro-array technology. The co-expression information is in turn used to help identify the biological function of the genes.

ArrayMiner identifies clusters of genes such that genes within one cluster have similar expression profiles (the genes are co-expressed), while being dissimilar to genes in the other clusters.

Unlike tools supplying a dendrogram of similarities among genes, ArrayMiner supplies well-defined clusters of coexpressed genes. As such then, ArrayMiner performs what is known as non-hierarchical clustering.

As of Version 3.0, ArrayMiner offers the optional functionality of class marking and prediction, called ClassMarker. Learn more on ClassMarker here.
